Chasing a summer monsoon storm in hopes of capturing a lightning photo I was instead graced with a giant rainbow. This land is part of the Superstition Mountain State Land Trust and home to many desert plants and animals.
About Joanne West
I chose to live in an underground home in Gold Canyon, Arizona because I care about the environment and want to live in harmony with nature. It is an ideal location for a nature photographer, magic light dances off the nearby Superstition Mountains and dark desert skies are perfect making for star trail and lightning photos. In addition to a 40 yr. love affair capturing Arizona beauty, a dash of international travel adds diversity to my photo collection.
