Living near the Superstition Mountains in Arizona I am able to capture the dramatic light shows. During the summer months monsoon storms arise in late afternoon and often continue thru the night. Sometimes only wind and lightning, this one had rain falling too.
About Joanne West
I chose to live in an underground home in Gold Canyon, Arizona because I care about the environment and want to live in harmony with nature. It is an ideal location for a nature photographer, magic light dances off the nearby Superstition Mountains and dark desert skies are perfect making for star trail and lightning photos. In addition to a 40 yr. love affair capturing Arizona beauty, a dash of international travel adds diversity to my photo collection.
