Way up in the center of the island near Koke State Park the skies are very very dark at night and clearer than anywhere I have seen. I took a 25 second exposure with the ISO at 2500 and painted the cabin with a flashlight during that time.
I chose to live in an underground home in Gold Canyon, Arizona because I care about the environment and want to live in harmony with nature. It is an ideal location for a nature photographer, magic light dances off the nearby Superstition Mountains and dark desert skies are perfect making for star trail and lightning photos. In addition to a 40 yr. love affair capturing Arizona beauty, a dash of international travel adds diversity to my photo collection.
