This Great Horned owl palm tree nest was located in a popular Arizona RV park. The sound of the ball being hit on pickleball courts captivated the attention of the juvenile owls. I made this photo from the actual pickleball court as their heads swung back and forth with the rhythm of the match.
I chose to live in an underground home in Gold Canyon, Arizona because I care about the environment and want to live in harmony with nature. It is an ideal location for a nature photographer, magic light dances off the nearby Superstition Mountains and dark desert skies are perfect making for star trail and lightning photos.
