One year I arrived at the Grand Canyon on New Years day anticipating a beautiful birthday sunrise shoot the next morning. When I rose to capture the first rays of light, I was overjoyed to find it had snowed overnight decorating the canyon like a birthday cake.
About Joanne West
I chose to live in an underground home in Gold Canyon, Arizona because I care about the environment and want to live in harmony with nature. It is an ideal location for a nature photographer, magic light dances off the nearby Superstition Mountains and dark desert skies are perfect making for star trail and lightning photos.
