Description
I captured this spider lightning strike on my land in Gold Canyon AZ, during a late summer monsoon storm just after sunset. I had been watching the lightning all around hoping for one to show up in my 20 second exposures. After this one I realized I was way too close to be standing in open desert with a metal tripod...said my thank you and ran inside.
